According to the Idaho Business Review yesterday, Idaho had the biggest 1-month jobless drop in Idaho since 1983. Citing the State Labor Department, April 2010 was the second straight month that Idaho's jobless rate declined, as opposed to the national rate that jumped .2 of a percent to 9.9%.
This is very important because the last time Idaho had such a large decrease in the jobless rate was in 1983, at a time that the economy was pulling out of another recession. Sounds like good news for us in Idaho and in the Boise metro area!
